Bug: Delete Col/Field that was Referenced in a Formula

There seems to be a bug, when you have a function that references a field value. E.g. A basic one like for column C:

{Col A} * {Col B}

If you delete column A or B, it won’t be possible to update the formula in column C to be corrected (even if you try to empty the formula and save it, you will get an error like ‘{uid} field is not found’).

Some context is, I was using the column C value in other formulas as well.

Just noticed now. Deleting and remaking would be a little inconvenient, because other formulas depend on that field value. So deleting it would also delete those references too.

Just a heads up, cheers.

Hi @log , if you delete a field that’s referenced in a formula, it’s normal for the formula to show ERROR — this just means you’ll need to update or clean up the formula manually.

However, if the problem is that you can’t delete or save the formula field itself (even after clearing the formula), that’s not expected. We haven’t been able to reproduce this so far.

Could you share the original formula you used before deleting the field? A short screen recording would also help us look into this more closely.

Thanks so much — this will help us investigate properly!
