fileName does not seem to be saved successfully when upload attachments via API.
I tried to upload attachments using make.com but after I entered name for the attachments. It still returns “fileName” as empty name and a random “name” generated by Bika.
Hi there! @bika.ai Thanks for the detailed feedback. Here’s an update on the two points you mentioned:
1. Random string in the “name” field
This is a known issue. Our team is currently fixing the “random naming” logic. Once the fix is live, the name field will correctly display the default filename of your attachment.
2. The “fileName” field returning empty
Normally, fileName and name should display the same information, so you can simply focus on the name field for now.
We’ve flagged the empty fileName to our tech team to check if it’s a bug. If it is, we’ll fix it in the upcoming update. If the empty value turns out to be intentional, we might actually hide/remove this field in the future to avoid any confusion.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress. Thanks again for helping us improve!
Hey @bika.ai, the fix we talked about is officially out!
Just to clarify the logic: fileName now displays your actual local filename, while name is the randomized ID used for cloud storage to keep things unique.
Thanks again for your patience—feel free to test it out!
