Hi,
I have an Excel file with over 20,000 rows, but only about 4,500 rows are being imported into my database. Does Bika impose any limit on the number of records that can be imported? Also, what’s the recommended way to import a large dataset from an Excel file?
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi @Klinti_Shema , just checking in — it looks like your original post was removed. Are you still experiencing issues with importing your Excel file?
If so, feel free to share a screenshot or brief description of what happened during import — we’d be happy to help you troubleshoot. Here’s our import/export guide in case it helps: https://bika.ai/help/guide/space/resource-import-export
We’ve tested imports with over 100,000 rows, so Bika.ai should be able to handle large files. If your file still doesn’t load completely, you can also try importing via API for more control: Bika.ai - Automate Your Work with Intelligence
Hi @Thea thanks for your response. For the first time, I imported the large file, but no data was show. So I reloaded the page but still there was no data. So created a new database and tried again, and fortunately, it worked. That’s why I removed the topic.
Thank you!
Hi @Klinti_Shema — thanks for the update, and glad to hear it eventually worked out!
Sorry to hear about the initial hiccup. If this happens again when importing Excel files, feel free to open your browser’s Network panel, look for the request labeled “database.createFromExcel”, and check the returned count value. A quick screenshot of that will help us troubleshoot more efficiently on our end.
Appreciate your patience — and let us know anytime if you hit another issue!
