Hi there,

just noticed the speed is increasingly slowed now after downtime this morning

Wat that due to the limited maintenance ?

Will this product be shut down soon ?

I have entered so much information now …

I apologize for the performance issues after today’s maintenance.

To be transparent, Bika is not shutting down, but it is entering limited maintenance. We are focusing our development on Buda, our next-gen platform. Buda is built on a new agent-native architecture (sandboxes and persistent workspaces) that directly addresses the architectural limits Bika faced.

The current maintenance and performance tuning are part of our efforts to smooth this transition and improve stability. If you’re interested in where our product is heading, you can follow our progress at https://buda.ai.

What exactly does the “limited maintenance” mean? You mention the transition so does this mean that the Bika users will be granted licenses/access to Buda? Or what’s going on? It lowkey seems to me that Buda aims to solve different problems/processes comparing to Bika so what are your plans exactly?

Can we kindly ask what does this mean for limited maintenance ? We experienced very slow or cannot access in the morning hours ?

Do you mean limited access during certain hours ? Can you let us know what hours that will be so that we can plan accordingly ?

@Lindsay Hi Lindsay, I could not access my spaces for the whole day . Can you help check is everything running ok ? Hope Bika is at least stable to be used ?

Regarding your questions:

  1. “Limited maintenance”: This means we are shifting our development focus to Buda, our next-gen platform. Bika reached certain architectural bottlenecks (like scaling limits), and Buda is built from the ground up with a new agent-native architecture (sandboxes and persistent workspaces) to solve these. We are keeping Bika stable, but new features are now exclusively being developed for Buda.

  2. Access/Speed Issues: We are seeing normal performance on our end today. If you are still experiencing issues, please try clearing your browser cache or switching your network connection to see if it improves.
