Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I transfer my data from AITable.ai to Bika.ai?

AITable.ai and Bika.ai are separate platforms, and direct data migration is not yet supported. However, you can transfer data manually by exporting and importing via Excel.

2. What are the key differences between Bika.ai and AITable.ai?

While they may look similar, Bika.ai and AITable.ai have different core architectures and functionalities. Bika.ai focuses on large-scale data handling, automation, and AI capabilities, whereas AITable.ai excels in real-time collaboration. Here’s a quick comparison:

  • Scalability: Bika.ai supports millions of rows, while AITable.ai has a 50,000-row limit.
  • Automation: Bika.ai offers 50+ triggers and actions, with ongoing expansions, whereas AITable.ai has limited built-in automation and relies on third-party tools like Zapier.
  • AI Native: Bika.ai provides built-in AI functionalities, including AI text generation and BYOK LLM integration, while AITable.ai relies more on external AI tools.
  • Pricing Model: Bika.ai follows a seat-based pricing model, whereas AITable.ai uses an unlimited seat + file node-based pricing.
  • Real-time Collaboration: AITable.ai is better for real-time collaboration, while Bika.ai focuses on data automation and large-scale processing.

3. What to Expect from Bika.ai?

While Bika.ai offers significant advantages, it is still in its early growth stage and active development (Bika.ai Roadmap). AITable.ai has been in development for four years, while Bika.ai has only been in development for one year. Our team is committed to weekly updates to enhance functionality and user experience.

4. After redeeming Bika.ai benefits, will my AITable.ai benefits still be retained?

Yes. We provide LTD users with a free Bika.ai benefit based on the Benefit Redemption Rule, which does not affect your existing AITable.ai LTD plan. You can continue to use both based on your needs.

5. Can I upgrade my Bika.ai plan after redeeming it?

The Bika.ai plan you redeem cannot be upgraded due to platform pricing differences and AppSumo policies.

Since Bika.ai and AITable.ai are separate campaigns, upgrades would typically need to be done within the AITable.ai campaign if you want to upgrade a redeemed plan. However, as the AITable.ai campaign has already ended, upgrades are no longer permitted under AppSumo’s rules. If you need a higher-tier plan, please consider purchasing it directly on AppSumo.

Aditionally, since Bika follows a space-based pricing model, having multiple spaces can be valuable. In fact, during the AITable.ai campaign, many users opted to purchase multiple spaces for added flexibility. Just sharing some insights for reference!

Hello Kelly

Let me tart saying that I am a very happy AiTable user and that I really appreciate the move to map out AiTable purchases to a Bika.ai plan

With that said, I can’t help but have the feeling that we have been misled. I participated actively in the Discord community, and at some point, support started to fade away. We asked about the status of AiTable, and whenever we received an answer we were told that Bika.ai was a totally different product. We were informed that when it came to AiTable, you were focusing on rebuilding the architecture underlying the app and that there was no risk of AiTable being left behind.

Now, from what I can read on the AppSumo launch, it seems that AiTable development has actually been discontinued (meaning no AiTable 2.0 as promised) and no new features will be implemented. I had a few feature requests, and someone in your team told me to submit them via the designated contact form. I spent quite a good amount of time time doing this, but I haven’t received any reply from the team, and now it seems that they won’t be implemented.

Can we know what’s the situation with AiTable? I

Love! :green_heart:

  • 1 for this, we would like to know more and have more transparency

What about the giveaway winners :grimacing::grimacing::grimacing: can we also migrate???

Thanks for your feedback! We’ve seen all your messages, and I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you—there have been quite a few issues.

We’re still running both AITable.ai and Bika.ai, but they’re aimed at different goals and infrastructure. Bika.ai has all the features of AITable.ai plus a bunch of new stuff like documents, .bika files, AI writer, missions, reports, and an AI Apps Builder. We’re also working on some exciting new features.

Features List of Bika.ai can be visit here.

Our vision is to create a Business AI Agents platform where users can plan and implement a complete Business AI System, automating tasks with AI and fine-tuning internal features using simple natural language—just like having an AI consulting team.

We are updating Bika.ai more frequently, but that doesn’t mean AITable.ai is being neglected. We’re still fixing bugs, just not as often. The reason is that we have a limited number of engineers, so we can’t split them evenly between two big projects.

Also, we’re developing a data cloning tool (not migration, just cloning) to help with data management. Plus, we’ll be adding more automation tools and actions to Bika.ai soon, so keep an eye out for that!

Hi @Kelly I have a slight issue when I am trying to fill out the form to get Bika.ai access (I have AITable Tier 5 lifetime).

Appsumo deactivated my Appsumo account and so I cannot access my AITable invoice to upload in your form. So I have submitted the PDF of deactivation page. Hoping you can assist in approving my form submission. Thanks

Hello @Kelly :wave:t4:

Really appreciate your reply  I see that you have a huge vision for Bika and even though I find it a bit overwhelming right now, I think little by little just using the platform I will understand more and more what are all those elements in the diagram.

I wrote my message because from this sentence in AppSumo Bika listing page:

:white_check_mark: Keep AITable.ai if it works for you – we’ll maintain stability and fix bugs, but won’t be introducing major new features.

I appreciate that you will maintain it and fix bugs, as I truly love AiTable. However, I am concerned about what you consider a major feature. I have submitted a series of small feature requests via the form you provided and never received a response. I would love to see them implemented. For example, a lock on the select and multi-select fields that prevents adding options from the field itself would be very helpful. I really need this feature as I often end up with select field filled with options that are not useful:

(I had to add that image as a link because this forum doesn’t allow to add more than one attachment to the post)

I understand very well that your resources are limited, and I understand that the work for developing Bika is huge, but in Discord we understood from Peng Jin messages that a AiTable V2.0 was coming with a “reconstruction of the overall underlying architecture”.

What I want to find out is if this is still in progress or if, when he refers to the “development of AiTable 2.0,” he is talking about Bika (despite the second comment appearing to clarify that he is indeed referring to AiTable and not Bika).

Love! :green_heart:

Please let me know if you have received the redemption code.

Hi, please try submitting the application to check if it can be verified.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback and patience.

Regarding the feature you mentioned, we have actually considered it.

In Bika.ai, we have separated the field properties into a standalone modal window.

While this sacrifices some operational flexibility and convenience, it provides users with more robustness.
As a result, issues like accidentally adding options through single-select and multi-select fields do not occur, and operations like copy-pasting or hitting enter in the search box won’t create new options.

This is precisely the difference between AITable.ai and Bika. It reflects our struggle; AITable.ai offers a very flexible table spreadsheet experience, but sometimes this flexibility can be excessive in terms of data structure.

We often receive feedback requesting a stricter data structure—some users desire more stability, while others prefer a more “dynamic and editable” experience.

AITable.ai tends to adopt a “flexible editing” approach, while Bika.ai aims for greater robustness, functioning more like a “software system.” Field attributes can only be edited in the editor, which prevents the accidental creation of new options when entering content in the search box.

You can try out the new experience in Bika.ai to see if they meet your needs.

As for Peng Jin’s mention of AITable 2.0, it indeed refers to Bika.ai. During the development of AITable.ai, we found that under the future of AI-native products, there would be many different considerations and significant architectural changes. Ultimately, we decided to adopt a completely new architecture that aligns with the future concepts of the AI era. We are continually improving.

We also are develping a data cloning tool from AITable.ai to Bika.ai, which can coexist to provide you with more convenience.

Thank you again for your understanding and support! If you have any more suggestions or questions, feel free to reach out to us anytime.

Hello Kelly

I really appreciate your reply one again

I totally understand that Bika.ai improves many aspects of AiTable, but right now, AiTable is so integrated with my company operations that I find Bika.ai still too slow to invest much time in it for now. I know that gradually, I will give it more chances over time.

With that said, I will address the two points:

  1. I know this is not the right place to talk about this, but since we have already started the conversation, I would like to continue it. I personally believe that there are still many small improvements, unrelated to big features, that will make AiTable even greater and more relevant. And the lock for the select fields is one of them. Would it be so difficult to implement something like this? (see the checkbox I added to it)

  1. About AiTable 2.0: In the Discord channel, which is currently completely unmonitored and abandoned by the team, we have repeatedly asked for better communication. As you can see by looking at the Discord channel right now, there are many users who understood from Peng Jin’s communications and some email exchanges with your team shared on the platform that:

A) Bika.ai development would not affect to AiTable development
B) The foundational structure of AiTable was undergoing afull revamp and that AiTable development would not be abandoned.

The communication effort you are making in this forum and on the AppSumo deal page for Bika.ai is remarkable. I just wonder why you left us “loyal AiTable sumo-lings” feeling abandoned and speculating in Discord when it would have been much better to outline what you are working on, what your priorities are, and, if we are so loyal and appreciated, to check with us regarding our views on the future of AiTable.ai.

I would have preferred to see AiTable continue development, even if only for smaller features, and to purchase my Bika.ai license separately (also to support its development), rather than feeling that the development of an outstanding product like AiTable— which is 95% capable of meeting my agency’s needs— has been abandoned.

Love! :green_heart:

I filled in the form and its few days now but did not get any code to migrate my Aitable Tier 5 to Bika tier 4 plan.

I made a free account on Bika so that I can migrate all the AItable spaces but my Bika account is a free account so I am going to hit the free account limit.

just sent the redemption code email. please check out your inbox @brocksran

Thanks I just saw it and code redeemed.
